Our itinerary

Join us in Paso where we’ll focus on high-quality, limited-production, majority allocated wineries so you can experience the best the region has to offer. Below describes the current schedule for the tour. Please know that for a variety of reasons, it may be necessary to move the day and/or time of wineries and restaurant visits.

  • Our tour starts on Sunday, April 25, in the charming, walkable town of Paso Robles, CA where we’ll stay at an award-winning luxury boutique hotel. This evening, we’ll gather for an introduction to this unique wine region and enjoy our first tasting along with a custom dinner pairing to enhance the wines and highlight the fresh ingredients of the area.

  • Each day, we’ll have breakfast at the hotel before heading out to experience wines from Paso’s sub districts. We’ll also have a break between our lunch tasting and dinner so you can relax and explore downtown Paso Robles.

  • On Monday, we’ll venture to a winery where Rhone and Bordeaux-style blends are complemented with varietals typical of France and Spain. The winery offers outstanding views of the rolling hills and vineyards of the area. The day continues in a beautiful setting with exceptional wines from the Willow Creek District and farm-to-table lunch with the option to tour their caves. Tonight’s wine dinner starts off a week of highly awarded restaurants and expert wine pairings in downtown Paso Robles.

  • On Tuesday, we’ll start an exploration of the “French Connection” among some of Paso’s most influential winemakers who embraced the creative freedoms of the region to pioneer their Rhone and Bordeaux-style wines. To set the tone, we’ll start with champagne from their sister winery in France before moving to a selection of their Paso produced wines. Next, we’ll visit another French family-operated winery starting with their white and rose wines before enjoying their expression of Rhone and Bordeaux-style reds while enjoying our catered lunch. Tonight, we’ll have a private dinner at one of Paso Robles’ most exclusive farm-to-table family restaurants recognized by Wine Spectator. We’ll enjoy a curated selection of local wines paired to the menu.

  • Wednesday, we have an early start as we head out to the coast to explore amazing architecture and natural beauty. On our return to Paso, we’ll visit a winery known for its Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs and Cabs but also has a surprising broad portfolio of varietals matched with their highly acclaimed on-site restaurant. Dinner will be hosted at another highly rated restaurant with a winery partner.

  • Thursday, we venture to a different district of Paso Robles. This morning’s tasting is with a winemaker whose style highlights not only nuances of flavor across vineyards but also across grapes clones. Over lunch, we’ll meet a winemaker who creates with a diverse and appealing selection of both red and white varietals while enjoying amazing mountain-top views. Tonight, our Finale Dinner will be a special treat as we enjoy a private dining experience with a renowned Chef and Sommelier as he presents a multi-course feast paired perfectly with multiple wines for each course. The Chef will focus on the freshest locally sourced ingredients and local/regional wines including some with “cult” status.

  • As they say, all good things must come to an end.  And Friday, we must head home. Depending on your departure time, breakfast will be available at the hotel.
